Chorizo Coney Dogs

2garlic cloves, minced
1teaspoon chili powder
1/2teaspoon crushed oregano
1/2teaspoon ground cumin
1/4teaspoon ground black pepper
1can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
8hot dogs
8hot dog buns
1. Prepare outdoor grill for direct grilling over medium heat. In large nonstick skillet, cook sausage over medium-high heat 4 minutes or until cooked through, stirring occasionally. Stir in garlic, chili powder, oregano, cumin and pepper and cook 1 minute, stirring frequently. Add tomato sauce and 3 tablespoons water; reduce heat to low and cook 6 to 8 minutes or until mixture thickens, stirring occasionally. Makes about 2 cups.
2. Meanwhile, place hot dogs on hot grill rack and cook 8 to 12 minutes or until browned on the outside and internal temperature reaches 165°, turning frequently.
3. To serve, place hot dogs in buns and top each with ¼ cup chorizo mixture.
