1/4 oz simple syrup or maple syrup
2-3 dashes orange bitters or Angostura® bitters
Orange twist for garnish

1.Combine the rye/bourbon, syrup, and bitters in an ice-filled rocks glass. Stir until chilled. Garnish with the orange twist.
