1tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2cups water

Basic Donut Glaze

2-1/2cups Domino® Powdered Sugar
3 to 4tablespoons whole milk
2tablespoons light corn syrup
2tablespoons Our Family® Unsalted Butter, melted
Food coloring

1. Prepare Donuts: In large bowl, whisk cake flour, all-purpose flour, dry milk, baking powder, ground cinnamon and salt. In separate large bowl, beat shortening and granulated sugar with mixer on low speed 2-1/2 minutes. Beat in eggs, egg yolks and vanilla 1-1/2 minutes; carefully beat in 2 cups water. Add flour mixture in 3 additions, mixing on low speed 1-1/2 minutes after each addition.

2. Transfer dough to floured work surface; let stand 15 minutes. Line cookie sheet with parchment paper; spray with cooking spray. Sprinkle dough with flour; roll out to about 3/8-inch thick. Cut out 12 donuts using a 3-inch donut cutter (or a 3-inch round cutter for outside and a 1-inch round cutter for inside); place on prepared cookie sheet and let stand 15 minutes. (Psst… save remaining dough to make delicious Donut Fries recipe)

3. Attach deep fryer/candy thermometer to side of medium saucepan; fill saucepan with about 2 inches oil. Heat oil to 380°; gently add 2 to 3 donuts at a time to hot oil. Cook 3 minutes or until evenly browned, flipping several times to prevent overbrowning; transfer to paper towel-lined cookie sheet to drain. Transfer to wire rack; cool 20 minutes. Dunk 1 side of donuts into desired glaze; top as desired. Makes 1 dozen.

4. Prepare Basic Donut Glaze: In medium bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, corn syrup and butter until smooth. Divide into small bowls; stir in food coloring to create different colors.
