The Classic Martini
2 oz gin
1 oz dry vermouth
1 oz dry vermouth
1.Combine all ingredients in mixing glass with ice. Stir until very cold; strain into cocktail glass. Garnish with olives or a lemon twist.
Optional Additions: 1 dash orange bitters or 1 tsp olive brine (for a dirty martini)
Optional Substitutions: Vodka for gin
Super Dry Martini: Reduce the vermouth to ½ oz
